Sam Kille is a communications professional and Marine Corps veteran with a strong background in media strategy and storytelling for mission-driven organizations. As the Digital Communications Manager for Fordham University’s Office of Military and Veterans’ Services, he advances the university’s messaging to support military-connected students through digital engagement, content strategy, and strategic outreach.
Previously, he led communications at The GroundTruth Project, home of Report for America, where he guided the organization through a leadership transition and secured national media coverage in 60 Minutes, CNN, and The Washington Post. He has also led high-impact campaigns at the Bob Woodruff Foundation, Team Rubicon, and the American Red Cross, generating billions of media impressions and raising awareness around veterans’ issues and disaster relief.
Kille began his career as an award-winning military journalist in the U.S. Marine Corps. He studied journalism at the Defense Information School and holds a bachelor’s degree in public affairs from Empire State University, an associate degree in media from Nassau Community College, and a nonprofit development and management certificate from Molloy University. He also serves on the advisory board of Military Veterans in Journalism.
