Betsy Montanez has over eighteen years of experience in recruiting, career counseling, and supporting the military-connected community. A higher education professional, she has worked in both two- and four-year and private/public institutions, which has given her the opportunity to work with a diverse group of student-veterans from all different academic backgrounds and career goals. 

A servant leader, Betsy volunteers with several veteran service organizations and supports veterans' transitions. As part of the Operations Team for the United War Veterans Council (UWVC), she assists in producing the NYC Veterans Day Parade. An endurance athlete, she is an active volunteer of Team Red, White and Blue and is often seen wearing the Eagle in Triathlons and Marathons.

Betsy holds a BA in Political Science and an MA in Counseling/Student Affairs from Montclair State University. She is also an alumna of the George W. Bush Presidential Center's Stand-To Veterans Leadership Program.
